CO2 laser resurfacing treatment at Nurture Wellness in Cherry Creek, Denver

Cherry Creek, Denver · Laser Season

Laser Season Is Here

Fall and winter are the season for CO2 laser and CoolPeel. Shorter, lower-sun days make it easier to protect healing skin, so you can smooth texture, sun damage, and fine lines now and be camera-ready by spring. Every session is performed personally by a board-certified nurse practitioner.

Plain and simple

What CO2 Laser & CoolPeel Actually Do

A CO2 laser removes the damaged outer layer of skin and triggers new collagen underneath. CoolPeel is the lighter, quick-recovery version of the same technology. In plain terms: smoother texture, faded sun damage, softer fine lines, and improved acne scars. All of it is done by a provider, not a machine on autopilot.

Texture & pores

Resurfaces rough, uneven skin and softens the look of enlarged pores.

Sun damage & tone

Fades brown spots and years of accumulated sun damage for more even tone.

Fine lines

Triggers new collagen so fine lines and early wrinkles look softer.

Acne scars

Reaches the deeper texture of acne and surgical scarring a peel can’t touch.

Good to know

CO2 Laser Season: Common Questions

Why are fall and winter the best time for CO2 laser?

Skin that has just had a laser treatment is more sensitive to the sun, and sun exposure during healing raises the risk of pigment changes. The shorter, lower-sun days of fall and winter make it much easier to keep treated skin protected while it recovers, which is why they are the classic season for CO2 laser and CoolPeel.

What is the difference between CoolPeel and full CO2 resurfacing?

CoolPeel is the light pass: it skims the surface layer, calms dullness and fine lines, and heals in about a day or two, similar to a strong peel. Full CO2 resurfacing goes deeper for acne scarring, sun damage, and wrinkles a light pass will not reach, with more downtime in return. Your provider helps you choose the level that fits your skin and your calendar.

What can CO2 laser and CoolPeel treat?

Rough or uneven texture, enlarged pores, sun damage and uneven pigmentation, fine lines and early wrinkles, and acne or surgical scars. It resurfaces the skin’s surface and rebuilds collagen underneath. No laser removes a scar completely, but it can make one meaningfully less noticeable.

How much downtime should I expect?

Downtime scales with intensity. A CoolPeel means one to two days of redness and a gritty, mild-sunburn feeling, and most patients are back to normal the next day. Deeper resurfacing runs three days up to about two weeks depending on the setting. Your provider matches the level to how much recovery time you actually have.

Who performs the treatment?

Every CO2 laser and CoolPeel session at Nurture is NP-led and performed by a board-certified nurse practitioner in our Cherry Creek studio, and Meg Anguiano, FNP, performs CO2 laser and CoolPeel personally. Nothing is handed off to a technician.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Every new patient starts with a consultation so your provider can confirm your skin type, look at what is actually bothering you, and recommend the right treatment level before anything is booked. The consultation fee is credited toward the treatment you book.

Ready for Laser Season?

Book a laser consult and Meg will map the right level for your skin: CoolPeel or full resurfacing.
